Love without effort is nothing, 

 For we are creatures of effort, 

 When all that we do becomes, 

 Part of who we are. 

 Faith without works is nothing, 

 As works manifest love in the world, 

 Showing our beliefs, 

 Through all we say and do. 

 The skills we gain are from doing, 

 The knowledge we gain is from learning, 

 The life we gain is from living, 

 The love we gain is from giving. 

 There is no blessing without cost, 

 This has been since time began,

 All things good in life costing effort, 

 Our lives costing the life of God‘s son. 

 The greatest of gifts comes from giving, 

  And we are never left without, 

 For as creatures of effort we thrive,
Through love there is never a doubt.
