Bringer of Darkness

I do not fear the Bringer of Darkness,
as I serve the Creator of Light.

Within a state of flux,
It is everywhere and nowhere,
Both in and out of time,
Touching all of our time streams.
No eyes with to see,
It can see us in the night,
Never needing sleep,
Filling fears into dreams.
When our eyes do wake,
Within the twilight blur,
A glimpse of darkened form,
Is all that we may see.
A shapeless motion movement,
From the corner of the eye,
Unsettled dust in motion,
In daylight comes to be.
Companion of the darkness,
With fear as its blood,
Pumped with eternal fury,
Within a heart of pain.
Looks for peace to devour,
With the bait of doubt,
And our souls in the balance,
With all to loose or gain.
In the shadow of the companion,
I continue on my journey,
For many cry out in darkness,
As only pain they see.
So that through the words God gives,
With my wife by my side,
We may shine light into darkness,
That these souls may be free.
