Life requires effort,
Effort requires life,
For what we love,
We put forth an effort,
Planting the seedling,
Helping it to grow,
Until it returns the love,
Providing fruit for our health.
Yet life is a magic mystery,
Organic matter formed of atoms,
Atoms formed of particles,
Bonded across gulfs so far,
Yet things still seem solid,
Though matter is mostly empty space,
With matter being energy,
Held firmly in its place.
Einstein showed us plainly,
Matter and energy are the same,
Yet the direction an electron spins,
Will dictate how it behaves,
Acidity or basic,
Creating chemistry for life,
So when a bird lands on my tree,
I see the magic of life.
Embrace the mystery with wonder,
For it is part of who we are,
Spinning through infinity,
